Growing plants, whether it bean indoor jungle or a frilly flower garden, is a mindful and grounding experience that removes us from the stresses of our busy lives. In Brilliant Colour, Katie translates this experience into a series of botanical inspired linocuts and woodcuts that lift up the viewer with their bright colours and patterns.
On display are a series of linocuts all developed in response to flowers and plants Katie has grown herself, as well as woodcuts inspired by houseplants. Each print is a signed, numbered limited edition and available to purchase framed or unframed.
On June 29 - this exhibition will be formally opened to the public with a meet and make session. Have a go at making your own floral print while Katie talks you through the process and answers any questions you may have. Light refreshments provided, koha entry.
